Hi, I’m Kate.
Hi, I’m Kate. I am an international continuing education presenter and movement coach with over 20 years of experience specialized in neuroscience as it relates to human movement. My work has supported people ranging from 8 to 96 years of age, all gender identities, body shapes and sizes, and levels of experience. From people who have never exercised before to professional level athletes and everyone in between, my work is customized to the person I am working with..
I have a Masters in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London and have dedicated my career, since 2004, in studying and applying neuroscience to movement training to help clients exceed their goals and professionals sharpen and develop their skills. My movement education background includes Pilates, Oov, athletics, dance, yoga, Gyrotonic®, Capoeira, and functional strength training. My bodywork/massage therapy background has been focused on myofascial release (John Barnes) and cranial sacral therapy (Upledger). I combine my extensive background and experience in a unique way that supports the people who I work with.
I have a deep passion and curiosity for my work which drives me to continue learning.
I strive to find a balance between evidence and science supported along with real life application in my work.
I am committed to supporting students and other movement professionals in their educational endeavors through my personal continuing education offerings and through my work as a faculty member of Polestar Pilates, Oov Education, and The Center for Women’s Fitness. I foster a collaborative environment conducive to meaningful education. My priority is to encourage critical reasoning, questioning, and curiosity in any of my professional education offerings.
